HOW TO
SHARE PHOTOS ONLINE USING www.flickr.com
Enter www.yahoo.com and set up a Yahoo ID account. (Yahoo
own Flickr)
Enter www.flickr.com and set up your Flickr account using
your Yahoo ID.
From
Flickr, download the software for Mac or Windows that helps
upload photos easily.
Select
the batch of photos you want to upload to Flickr, ensure
they are rotated correctly and place them in a
desktop
folder labelled Folder 1.
Batch-resize
the photos (p57) from folder 1 - to a pixel width of
between 400 (small) or 800 (large). and select a
resolution of 72
ppi for computer screens. Send the
resized photos to folder 2 on the
desktop using
medium quality JPEG.
Enter
your www.flickr.com account, click up-load and navigate to
folder 2 with the resized photos inside.
Start with the LAST photo when uploading, as the last
uploaded is the first shown.
Run the
slide show to check that the images have uploaded
correctly, and use the organise button to change the
sequence, rotate, or delete.
Cut and paste the URL of your Flickr photopage into a group
email so your friends can enjoy the show.
