Most photos are taken of family and friends previously with simple point-and-shoot cameras. Since the recent revolution in photography with digital replacing film, those photographers have found themselves holding a sophisticated compact camera full of a bewildering range of controls.
Todays simple cameras contain powerful chips and technicians have filled them with a large menu system in the same way they made video recorders so complicated people still have trouble using them.
Photography is not a hobby for the majority of people and many users are not interested in reading detailed books on digital photography, and yet find themselves in charge of a new digital camera, a computer, a printer and manuals which they cannot easily understand.
Brian Miller has watched this problem emerge as his friends struggled with new digital cameras. Using his decades of photographic knowledge and the experience of his own conversion to digital photography, he has written an easily accessible pocket book which is aimed at making life easier for thousands of compact digital camera owners.
Digital Cameras the easy way is a true pocketbook size reference which explains in simple language all the essentials you need to know to understand your manual, learn to use your digital camera, inprove your photos and use the images to print and send to friends,
Initial reaction to the book has been one of relief for most people who have seen it and found it answers all their questions and is also welcomed by camera store staff who get asked the same questions everyday. This book allow people to not only understand their digital camera, but unlocks the mystery of digital photography itself.
There is no other small digital camera book on the market that is so action packed, yet easy to follow and access. It is unique and helps solve a world wide problem - ‘how to use my digital camera’.
